Mindshift (2008) was created with a desire to evolve. I was learning about environmental issues, influenced by “A Language Older Than Words” by Derrick Jensen and “The Sacred Balance” by David Suzuki.

I moved to Glasgow, Scotland to study the music business, and was amazed how the experience of living in another country opened my perspective. I felt like a fish outside of its fishbowl, culture shocked into deeper awakening.

When I got back to Canada, I knew I wanted to elevate the production with this album, so I reached out to a producer named Adam Miner. Honestly, working with him was awesome and a great learning experience. He helped structure the songs, orchestrated the instruments, and even mapped out the harmonies. He scheduled awesome musicians (including himself) who I was honoured to work with.

Even though I learned a lot from the experience of making this, I love this album for what it is. It’s a part of my journey. I hope you enjoy these songs, as many of them are anthems to care deeper for this Beautiful Earth…
