Falling (2006) is a collection of acoustic love songs.

I was 20, and many of the songs were written in my late teens. It was recorded in my bedroom in Toronto, Ontario after a breakup of a beautiful relationship.

At the time I was influenced by Feist, Tegan and Sara, KC Tunstall, Fiona Apple, and Ani DiFranco. Listening back, I feel like I can hear how I was still finding my authentic voice. Vocally I was exploring tone and pronunciation. Lyrically I was doing my best to express my inspiration. Yet even though I was crystallizing my craft as a songwriter, a mystical quality shines through.

Acoustic guitar, creative harmonies, and piano make up the fabric of this album. The production is wild and free. Truly I really just wanted to make an album, to integrate my experiences, and to create something I could be proud of as a singer-songwriter.
