✨THE POWER OF SONGWRITING✨
As an intuitive healer, I can feel when someone has an energy of unresolved trauma, specifically sexual abuse.
It feels like... Energetics of shame. Anger. Fear. Guilt. Often reflected in the body, being uncomfortably overweight or having an eating disorder or addictions.
I've been working hard for much of my life to release, transmute, and alchemize these energetics from my body… Which is why I can feel them in others too.
I used to think the feeling of hating my body and feeling excruciatingly ashamed was because I was "fat" according to 90s / early 2000s magazine and movie aesthetics... But it was deeper than that.
Now I know... It was the energetic residue. The abuse internalized. It came with depression, anxiety, getting triggered in unexpected situations, and… Synchronicities…
Therapy helped. Friends helped. Prayer helped. Entheogens helped. Listening to my body helped. Releasing helped.
But one of the most Powerful helpers was (and is) expressing my feelings as honestly as possible in creative outlets. Writing. Art. Music. Dance. Videos.
Songwriting especially (since there is a connection between the sacral & throat chakras, with physical correlations) helped me turn my pain into Power. The shame into Love. Wounds into Wisdom.
Everyone has their own river back to the Ocean, their own golden thread to weave in this tapestry of Life, their own way of healing from their experiences and transforming it all into Medicine.
Music has been such an important way for me to heal and evolve that I can't help but want to help others do this.
A part of my Soul Purpose is to help others to do their own musical alchemy of healing through songwriting. It’s a nourishing and empowering way for feelings to be listened to and Loved.
Especially when many of us have tenderness around being believed (if there was gaslighting, lies, or manipulation involved), songwriting is a potent way to crystallize and share what we feel in a way that is healing, strong, and Divinely Connective.
