Today I'm writing from FIKA, one of my favourite Toronto cafes. I remember working on my album Illumination here a few summers ago, swinging in the hammock in their cute backyard as the sunlight danced through the green leaves above me. It's one of those magical little nooks of this intricate and complex city that make it special.
Something I'm appreciating about Toronto is the vibrant powerful current. I am a highly sensitive empath, and sometimes it's intense navigating the swiftly ever-changing energies when I'm out. My main way of staying in my own vibe and following my flow of inspiration is surrendering to the river of life, swimming where it feels better.
Personally I've always felt different than the norm... The ideals that society gave me about what I was supposed to do with my life didn't inspire me. Even now as I type this, I feel an immense excitement swirling in my soul, a deep knowing of the Creative Power inside me and all of us. We are surfing waves of Infinite Creativity, right NOW.
I feel that we are in a collective Great Awakening on Earth right now. People are waking up to what we truly feel, Who We Truly Are, and what is truly possible when we honour this. It's amazing to witness and participate in!
Yet there is also a deeply humbling challenging aspect to it all. Creating the new sometimes involves letting go of the old. As old parts of ourselves and this world fall away, sometimes it's painful and confusing. In my experience, awakening and healing are an organic process guided by Grace. I'm now in a process of feeling and releasing; what I truly desire and the friction that is ready to be loved, illuminated, and alchemized to create space for it to blossom.
Healing, Harmony, Home ~*
